It’s probably not widely known, but 2024 marks the 48th year in a row that the Ford F-series has been the best-selling truck in America. That could be due, in great part, to two factors: its numerous configurations and continued innovation. The 2024 Ford F-150 is no different. Far from resting on its laurels, the line retains all of its strengths while adding exciting new features and technology.
Design and Comfort
The F-150 has a refreshed look for 2024 with enhanced exterior styling added to the grille, lighting, wheels, and more. The interior offers generous passenger space with lots of useful storage spaces. Even the base model has convenience features such as keyless entry and new technology.
However, you certainly won’t lack for choice if you want extras. There are six trim levels plus three special off-road models, three cab styles, and three bed lengths (depending on your cab) to choose from. Useful, exciting, and innovative options include:
- Onboard generator with outlets
- Mobile office
- Pro Access Tailgate
Power and Performance
Ford’s diversity of configurations for the 2024 F-150 extends to its mechanics, as well, with a choice of multiple engines. The 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 is standard on most models, including the base XL. However, you can get a V-8, a hybrid, and more, if you like. All of them have 10-speed automatic transmissions, but you can choose either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, no matter which engine you end up with.
Technology
The dash in all models of the 2024 F-150 is now sporting a big new 12-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system and a fully digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Of course, there are optional features and others available on higher trim levels, such as a head-up display and Bang & Olufsen stereo system. For the first time ever, though, Ford is making one of its coolest features available on the F-150 for a monthly fee: the Blue Cruise hands-free driving system.
Safety
The 2024 Ford-150 has a perfect five-star rating from the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). There are important safety features are standard in even the XL base model, including:
- Rear view camera
- Blind spot warning with cross-traffic alert and trailer tow coverage
- Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking
- Adaptive cruise control
