The lovable 2024 Ford Edge is designed to make your daily life easier. We love its excellent fuel economy, 12-inch touchscreen, and bold exterior design features. Check out our highlights below to learn more about the well-equipped new Edge.
1. The Great Fuel Economy
The Edge is a mid-size SUV with sporty handling, 250 horsepower, and great fuel economy. This fun-to-drive SUV averages 21 miles to the gallon when tackling city streets, and 28 miles to the gallon as it heads down the highway. You’ll have a twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission.
A rotary gear shift dial is conveniently placed to be easy for the driver to access, while offering more space for cupholders and smart storage upfront. We love the Edge’s quiet ride, even on the highway, and the intelligent all-wheel drive system’s enhanced traction. Other great handling features include auto start-stop technology, and hill start assist.
2. The Excellent Infotainment System
The best kinds of infotainment systems are the user-friendly ones, and the Edge’s 12-inch touchscreen hits all the marks we’re looking for. It’s well-placed in the center stack, so you can check the screen with just a glance. The system uses the new SYNX 4A from Ford, a system that makes it easy to check the music or answer an incoming phone call. You’ll also have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so connecting your smartphone is a quick task.
3. The Supportive Safety Assist Technology
Ford Co-Pilot360 is a standard package of driver assistance technology. This package equips the new Edge with lane keeping system, pre-collision assist, and blind spot information system. Automatic high beams are also standard.
4. The Bold Exterior Design
Ford designed the Edge with sleek body lines, an aggressive grille in an iconic Silver Honeycomb with Chrome surround, and great LED taillights with Amber turn signals. The Edge comes with body-color door handles, privacy glass on the rear doors, and LED configurable daytime running lights.
You can also add an appearance package to the Edge for unique exterior features. The entry-level SE has an available SE Black Appearance package, which adds 19-inch high-gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels, a Black front grille and surround, and a body-color front and rear bumper.
5. The Spacious Cargo Area
LED lights illuminate the spacious cargo area, where you’ll have 39.2 cubic feet of space behind the second-row seats. When you need additional room, you can fold down the second-row seats for a total maximum cargo volume of 73.4 cubic feet behind the first-row seats.
